Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) embodies the profound philosophical wisdom and the traditional Chinese health-care concept and practical experience accumulated over thousands of years. It is the gem of ancient Chinese science and the key to the treasury of Chinese civilization. In an effort of internationalization, TCM has pioneered the great rejuvenation of Chinese culture. We need to promote the combination of traditional Chinese medicine with western medicine as well as the overseas development of Chinese medicine and increase the export of Chinese medical products into the international market, so as to make greater contribution to the global health care service and meet the “Millennium Development Goals of the United Nation (UNMG).
