The new concept of equality, inclusiveness, exchange, and mutual appreciation among civilizations contained in the concept of community of shared future for mankind that we advocate foretells the basic direction and trend of the future development of human civilization. We need to profound understand and comprehend it from the height of developing human civilization and reflected and through the exchange and mutual learning of different civilizations. Du Qinglin stressed that building a community of shared future for mankind is a great global cause that requires solid cultural support, for which he put forward four initiatives: first, we should adhere to mutual respect and promote an inclusive exchange of civilizations; second, we should root our work in the grassroots and strengthen the bridge of humanistic exchanges; third, we should adhere to mutual learning and jointly promote the "Belt and Road Initiative"; fourth, we should stay people-oriented and cultivate the source of strength for building the community of shared future for mankind.

Zhang Meiying, Honorary Chairwomen of Taihu World Cultural Forum and Vice Chairwoman of the Eleventh National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said in her speech: Over the centuries, the attitude of "unanimous considerations on different paths to the same destination" has become a basic attitude for us to view the world, respect differences, understand disagreements, and solve problems and even been engraved in Chinese culture characterized by openness, inclusiveness, communication, and learning. The concept of community of shared future for mankind is the modern manifestation of the ancient Chinese concept of "the common good" and the inheritance and development of the excellent tradition of "integration of commitment and practice" in Chinese culture. Reasons abound for us to believe that the concept of "community of shared future for mankind" contains the common and shared interests and values of humanity, and that there is a convergence for interests in international relations. As this concept becomes more widely popular and dogmatic, more members in our society will share in the benefits of peace and development.

In his keynote speech, Yan Zhaozhu, President of the Taihu World Cultural Forum, said that humanity, already at a crossroads in history, must make a historic choice for the future and destiny of mankind through the development and renewal of civilization. A series of global crises have now sent a warning red card against the unsustainability of the old civilization to mankind. The only way to resolve global crises and create a better future for mankind is through establishing a community of shared future for mankind, replacing confrontation with cooperation, and rebuilding human-nature and social harmony. He stressed that the ancient Silk Road and wrote a magnificent epic of peaceful interaction and mutual learning between different countries. The great spirit embodied in the ancient Silk Road should become the core concept of community of shared future for mankind today.
